Course Overview
This course is the first of five-courses. It has two primary purposes. First, it summarizes the five main processes in the management of contaminated sites: site audit, site investigation, risk assessment, sampling, and treatment and monitoring. Second, it gives students the necessary knowledge and skills to perform a site audit. Case histories will be used as examples to demonstrate the principles of environmental site assessments (ESAs) and environmental audits (EAs).
