Course Overview
This course teaches orderly abandonment of a vessel in an emergency situation, the proper and effective use of equipment, which includes clearing the vessel and coordinate survival activities during a survival situation.

Upon successful completion, the student will be able to:
- State types of emergencies.
- Explain emergency duties.
- Demonstrate use of survival equipment.
- Explain methods of helicopter rescue.
- Describe types of survival craft and rescue boats.
- Demonstrate launching arrangements for survival craft.
- Demonstrate evacuation procedures for survival craft.
- Demonstrate signalling equipment and pyrotechnics.
- Explain procedures and duties of crew in survival craft.
- Use radio equipment.
