Course Overview
Spend a week of intensive, hands-on digital arts training with the storytelling professionals in the BCIT Summer Tech Program! In the video game design course you produce your own 2-D game at one of Canada’s premier media schools. Students use Multi-Media Fusion 2 to create their own storylines, game-play, characters, levels, and missions. Students aged 12-18 work with adult instruction creating any 2-D game or app and can publish their games for multiple platforms.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion, the student will be able to:
- Describe the role of a game designer.
- Operate the user-friendly game design layout and interface of MultiMedia Fusion2 to create complex games.
- Manage collision theory, game logic, and sound design.
- Execute basic game animations.
- Envision and create scene design and level.
- Complete a fully functional game from concept to completion.
- Export and publish completed games in various formats.
