Course Overview
Focuses on the unique characteristics of the specialty of real estate property management. Whether a multi-unit residential property, an office building, or an industrial park, competent asset management skills are increasingly in demand in the real estate market place. This course introduces you to the core concepts and skills necessary to deliver professional real property asset management to the consumer. Upon graduation from the Professional Real Estate program, you will be ready to challenge the Rental Property Management Licensing examination required by the Real Estate Services Act.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion, you will be able to:
- Explain the fundamentals of real property asset management.
- Negotiate effectively between the parties involved in the property management marketplace.
- Explain the concept and application of Conflict Resolution and Alternate Dispute Resolution in the property management milieu.
- Demonstrate effective market research and property marketing as would apply to the management of real property assets.
- Demonstrate the methods of measuring space in real estate asset management.
- Assess and explain financial statements, operational budgets, capital budgets, and accounting for managed property assets.
- Research and recommend sound purchasing processes for purchasing and personnel management for this product.
- Research and recommend reasonable, sound insurance and risk management decisions, as well as those pertaining to security, environmental protection and hazardous materials.
- Explain the current fundamental options available to achieve environmental certification of managed assets.
