Course Overview
This course emphasizes intrapreneurial management with an emphasis on innovative decision-making in medium to large sized firms. The major project will be the development of a business plan focusing on strategic concepts, industry analysis, leadership applications and operational controls for a new business concept. The course provides a practical opportunity for students to realistically assess the potential of a new corporate idea and develop a detailed plan for innovation and implementation that will resonate with a company’s senior management. The course covers a range of topics that will increase your understanding of what it takes to innovate and implement an intrapreneurial concept within an organization.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Design intra organizational business proposals.
- Create an internal business plan aimed at seeking and gaining senior management approvals.
- Develop leadership and “bridge" building skills.
- Address potential problems of introducing and implementing a new business concept in such areas as market identification, competitor assessment, analyzing and understanding the financial implications and dealing with the potential external regulations and impacts.
- Apply marketing and financial theory to analyze business strengths and weaknesses, and to form alternatives to solve business problems effectively.
- Apply contemporary theories and practices, the acquisition and use of skills that relate to management to improve their own effectiveness as members and leaders in organizations.
- Present and defend market research data used to assess a business concept potential.
