Course Overview
This course introduces the student to the basic theories, processes and vocabulary of interior design. The focus of the course is on concept development, on the design process and on the elements and principles of design. Students will create a journal/sketchbook and participate in class discussions.

Learning Outcomes
At the end of this course, the student will be able to:
- Illustrate the elements and principles of design through drawings and presentations boards.
- Analyse interior design projects to check the implementation of the elements and principles of design.
- State the regulatory bodies for the Interior Design field.
- Create a journal/sketchbook to record information, showing his/her design awareness.
- Present design solutions orally in class using design vocabulary.
- Analyze illustrations that pertain to concept development in interior design.
- Explain the steps in the design process.
- Apply design concepts to perspective drawings using 2D and 3D formats.
