Course Overview
This hands-on course is built on top of COMP 2870 and is focused on advanced concepts used to develop and maintain ASP.NET applications. Students who already understand ASP.NET and C#.NET will gain a deeper understanding of the latest .NET 4.0 technologies for web development through labs and exercises. Topics include: jQuery, Entity Framework, Web Parts, Custom Server Controls, Personalization, Caching, ASP.NET AJAX, WCF, Silverlight, RIA Services and ASP.NET MVC. By the end of this course, successful participants will be able to create and deploy scalable web applications and also be prepared to move on to COMP 3971 Silverlight Development with ASP.NET.
