Course Overview
Financing plays an essential role in international trade. International Trade Finance will take you through complex ventures and will show you how to secure financing. Topics covered include: the financing presentation; risk analysis and management; export costing and transaction viability; short-, medium- and long term financing options; export credit insurance; and cash flow planning. Students will learn how to make proposals for presentation to financing sources which will satisfy the basic needs of a company's export/import operations and/or to finance international trade projects.

Learning Outcomes
Upon sucessful completion, the student will be able to:
- Identify and evaluate a broad range of international trade and investment opportunities.
- Design appropriate risk management strategies.
- Select relevant risk mitigating techniques.
- Determine the costs and the viability of export/import transactions and select appropriate pricing strategies, terms of sales, and methods of payment.
