Course Overview
Technology and digital literacy skills are more important than they ever have been. Every job in nearly every industry leverages technology to be more productive, reliable, and improve business outcomes, however many of us know little about what goes into making our computers work. Modern computer technology requires an understanding of both hardware and software, as the interaction between the two offers a framework for mastering the fundamentals of computing. In Computer Architecture Essentials, you’ll explore the key hardware components of a computer, which can be put together to create or purchase a system that fits your needs. We will discuss measurements of hardware and software performance, as well as binary number systems and the International System of Units (SI units).
