Course Overview
This course is suitable for students with little or no knowledge of refrigeration systems, and those looking to improve their skillset or explore the trade. Electricity for Refrigeration System is a combination of in class lectures, shop practicals, and online learning. The student will learn about basic electricity as it applies to refrigeration system, motors, motor controls and electrical diagrams for refrigeration systems. The shop portion will teach the student how to use electrical measuring devices on an operating system to determine system operating parameters. The student will have online access to course material. The course text book may be purchased as a pdf or hard copy. The text is the same one used for the fulltime refrigeration/HVAC courses.
