BCIT’s Occupational Health and Safety programs are some of the most comprehensive and well recognized in Canada. Students learn the skills they need to start, continue, or expand their careers in health and safety, in any industry and workplace.
BCIT OH&S programs were designed for individuals who:
- Have a passion for safety and creating safe work environments for others
- Enjoy working directly with people at all levels and positions
- Thrive in a dynamic and demanding work environment
- Have three to five years or more of work experience. This experience does not need to be in safety.
Graduates of BCIT Occupational Health & Safety programs are sought out by many employers for their reliable BCIT education.
BCIT offers both a full-time two year Diploma program in OHS and a flexible distance/online option at the Associate Certificate and Certificate level. You should choose the option that works for you.
You have many options and choices when it comes to your Occupational Health and Safety career path. Your path will depend on your previous education, work history, future goals (job title/position, industry, location etc.), as well as your current situation (financial and family).
