In this course you will learn about welding safety, use of equipment and welding techniques, as they apply to the marine industry workplace. You will use welding equipment safely to perform basic torch operations.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Describe the common welding types and techniques and their application in the marine industry workplace
- Describe the principles, components and safety considerations of oxy-acetylene equipment
- Use oxy-acetylene equipment safely to perform basic heating, cutting, brazing and soldering operations
