Course Overview
This course provides advanced knowledge in the operation and maintenance of sewer lift stations, control valves, automated gates, sewer rehabilitation, and maintenance of sewer pumps, along with skills necessary for supervision, administration and organization of collection system operation and maintenance activities. It also prepares participants to write the Wastewater Operator Level 2 certification examination in accordance with the Environmental Operator Certification Program.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Describe the requirements and components of lift stations.
- Review drawings and specification of lift stations.
- Use pump performance curves and select proper pump for application.
- Describe pump control systems and safely make adjustments to level controllers.
- Perform routine inspection and maintenance on pumps and control valves.
- Describe various sewer rehabilitation programs and methods and carry out a rehabilitation project.
