Course details

This course is best suited for students who intend to take their photo editing and organizing workflow to an advanced level. Providing step-by-step lessons in file management and organization, you will create a consistent post-processing routine that works best with your personal style. With keywording, labelling and colour tagging, you will learn how to classify photos in the most efficient and easy-to-find processes. After using the software's basic tools: exposure, white balance and crop, you will learn how to work with the most significant features in Develop module, such as HSL, Color Grading and Tone Curve. Lastly, you will learn how to design a book, portfolio, slideshow and weblink with your preferred layout templates and colour schemes.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Import, export and watermark photos properly
  • Create collections, smart collections and collection sets
  • Keyword and organize photos with the Painter tool
  • Batch process and sync photos
  • Adjust and fine-tune images in Develop module
  • Retouch small spots to remove minor distractions
  • Utilize the Adjustment brush to isolate and edit parts of an image
  • Reduce or increase exposure, saturation, contract on selected areas
