Course Overview
This course introduces students to the language and documentation standards used in medical practice, supported by transcription-based learning tools. Medical terms that students previously studied will connect to those encountered in written physician orders. Through this course, students will develop entry-level transcription skills to accurately and completely process medical documentation, following established hospital protocols and workflows. This course also supports medical office personnel looking to enhance their medical transcription and order processing skills.
