An upgrading course for students who have not completed Math 11 or who have not recently completed Principles of Math 11 or Pre-Calculus 11. Meets the Math 11 prerequisite for the BCIT Technology Entry Program or any BCIT program with a Grade 11 Math entry requirement. Course start dates are January, April and September. School of Business students should review OPMT 0199 to meet their math requirements.

Final: Tuesday, June 20th at 6:00pm The TUITION portion of this course is free for Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents. Learning Outcomes
The Student is expected to be able to:
- Perform arithmetic operations using rules of operation with and without a calculator.
- Multiply, divide, add and subtract arithmetic fractions.
- Solve percent problems.
- Convert and reduce units.
- Discriminate between the accuracy and precision of numbers.
- Operate with signed numbers.
- Evaluate and manipulate simple formulae.
- Solve simple linear and simultaneous linear equations.
- Graph straight-line equations.
- Apply elementary mensuration formulae to solve geometric problems.
- Set-up and solve elementary word problems.
- Solve right-triangle problems using Pythagoras' Theorem and Trigonometric Ratios.
