Course details

This badge will present the supervisory systems used in industrial networks. Historians and Databases will be presented as well as user interfaces such as Human Machine Interfaces (HMI). Patching and Patch management will also be discussed. Many ICS systems rely on Microsoft Windows as the underlying operating system and the defense of Microsoft Windows in a Supervisory System will also be presented. ​

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Identify Supervisory Systems, Historians and Database Systems
  • Work with a basic HMI
  • Describe when patches to systems can be applied
  • Mitigate attacks against known vulnerable systems
