Course Overview
As wood products manufacturing businesses grow, the need to process and manage information efficiently becomes more important. Recent developments in computer and software solutions are reducing the costs but not the complexity of deciding which to buy and how to commission the system. This workshop aims to remove some of the mystique and to provide solutions on how to short list and select the most appropriate system. Presentations will be followed by a case study and breakout sessions fro group discussion.

Learning Outcomes
Workshop guests will learn how to correctly identify information processing and management needs unique to their business. They will then be able to discern the suitability of each software program and how well it is applied against their needs. Guests will also learn how software programs can be assembled/altered for full customization and versatility.
