The COVID-19 pandemic is having an unprecedented impact on the global meetings and events industry. The ability to design and produce safe meeting experiences is critical for the attendees, meeting hosts, production staff and venues. This short course using video, scenarios, and case studies will provide you with the knowledge and guidance in designing and producing safer meetings and events. This course will help prepare you and your organization to be ready for the recovery of in-person and hybrid events.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Design safer in-person events through design
- Identify Client goals and objectives
- Prepare a SWOT analysis of your event
- Identify event elements and risk assessment
- Prepare for safer meeting design
- Use a COVID-19 mitigation and response plan
- Prepare a communication and education strategy for attendees
- Explain how to choose a safer venue
- Outline creating a budget and proposal
- Develop a safer meeting environment through planning
- Analyze venue protocols, physical distancing, and PPE
- Assess hygiene & cleaning guidelines
- Use a production schedule & show flow
- Demonstrate safer meeting design
- Carry out on-site safety & management
- Design safer food & beverage events
- Explain safer transportation options
- Prepare post event reports and tracking
