Course Overview
This weekend course is for experienced radio and newspaper journalists who are interested in learning about visual story telling and the live-hits that are needed to make the jump to television journalism. Each student will write, report and present on camera and leave with a videotape of their performance. Award winning instructor, Heather Hawthorne-Doyle, has directed thousands of hours of newscasts at CTV, Global and CBC.
Prerequisite(s)
- This course is only open to industry professionals who are experienced in radio and newspaper journalism.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Identify the skills necessary to adapt to video reporting operations.
- Understand basic video reporting concepts.
