Course Overview
In this non-credit workshop course, students will learn how to prepare a professional portfolio. During the first day of the workshop, students will be exposed to a variety of design portfolio layouts and formats intended to best market their design work. Information on media software and access to print media will be discussed. Students will be encouraged to prepare their own portfolio and marketing materials for the second day of the course, when they will receive a one on one personal critique of their work. This workshop is perfect for students preparing to exit into industry, and for current students interested in applying for the Full time Diploma or Degree programs.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Recognize how the fundamental elements and principles of design are important to professional branding and designer identification.
- Explore and critically analyse various portfolio design layouts.
- Create a professional marketing package consisting of a work portfolio, business card, resume, brochure and TIP card.
- Identify what information and visual media is important to include in a portfolio and marketing package.
- Explore software enhancement options for business cards and resume formatting.
