Course Overview
This course helps workers in the plumbing trade, who meet the Skilled Trades BC requirements, prepare to write the Interprovincial Red Seal examination. It is primarily intended for migrating or immigrating trades people who have been approved by Skilled Trades BC to write the Red Seal exam, as well as apprentices who failed the exam on previous attempts. Information pertaining to the eligibility requirements for writing the Interprovincial exam must be obtained from the Skilled Trades BC at www.skilledtradesbc.ca or 1-866-660-6011. This course is intended for people who have vast experience (4+ years) in the plumbing trade and want to refresh their theoretical knowledge prior to challenging the Interprovincial Red Seal exam. Upon completion of the refresher you may be required to submit your BCIT transcript as proof that you have passed this course.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Perform common occupational skills
- Prepare and assemble tubes, tubing and pipes
- Install, test and service sewers, sewage treatment systems and drainage, waste, vents (DWV) systems
- Install, test and service water service and distribution
- Install, test and service fixtures, appliances and water treatment systems
- Install, test and service low-pressure steam and hydronic systems
- Install, test and service specialized systems
