Course details

This course teaches environmental awareness on ozone depleting substances and deals with environmentally correct equipment design and proper handling of refrigerants. Specific theory topics include: science of ozone depletion, isolation valving, recommended components, leak detection methods, system charging procedures, special maintenance provisions, and refrigerant recovery, reuse, recycle and reclamation equipment. Successful participants will receive an HRAI/Environment and Climate Change Canada/BC Ministry of Environment Certificate and a certificate number for refrigerant handling as required under current BC regulation.
