Course Overview
This introductory course on occupational health and safety provides essential safety information for employees working in the airport environment. The course explains a variety of regulatory requirements including: Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS), Safety Management Systems (SMS), fire safety, emergency preparedness and government worker legislation. Instruction is also provided in basic first aid and Cardiovascular Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), enabling students to qualify for a first aid certificate.
