Course details

Provides an overview of mineral exploration and mining for those in the business and financial community and for investors. Covers a basic introduction to geology, mineral deposits, mineral exploration, drilling, mineral resource and reserve estimates, feasibility studies, and mining and processing methods. Includes an overview of how to read technical news releases, understand drill and assay results and evaluate exploration companies. A copy of the textbook ‘Mineral Exploration and Mining Essentials’ is provided to each student on the first day of class and is included in the course fee.
