Course Overview
This course is a five-day workshop consisting of a series of field trips to various wood processing facilities. Its purpose is to supplement the classroom-based learning and provide topics for further discussion.

- Completion of Tier 3 courses for those enrolled in the IWPM program.

Learning Outcomes
At the end of this course the student will be able to:
- Analyze various manufacturing processes and select the most appropriate for a given log diet and product profile.
- Describe and evaluate mill processing equipment.
- Prepare mill flow diagrams.
- Identify differing management styles and contrast them company to company.
