Students will be informed of the latest developments concerning marine insurance, and handling of marine claims.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Describe claim handling and practical aspects of the marine insurance market.
- List effective responses in emergency cases, and mitigate claims through risk analysis and claims management.
- Describe the legal and practical aspects of the marine insurance covers, including Hull and Machinery, P&I, and overview of the owners' and charterers' liabilities.
- Review the latest developments and best practices across the Marine Insurance sector for the prevention and mitigation of insurance-related threats and cargo claims.
- Identify additional marine insurance coverage.
- Describe reinsurance.
