Course Overview
In this directed-studies course, students develop an industry-based project in conjunction with an industrial operation in order to apply the wood products manufacturing and productivity improvement techniques learned in the previous courses. The student will develop a Terms of Reference defining the study area, gather data, analyze the current situation, and develop solutions for recommendation to management. Findings will be presented in an oral presentation and in a final written report.

- Completion of Tier 1, 2, 3 and 4 courses within the IWPM program.

Learning Outcomes
At the end of this course the student will be able to:
- Demonstrated the ability to apply the previously learned wood products manufacturing knowledge and the industrial engineering techniques learned in the Management Engineering 1 course, in an industrial environment.
