Course details
Covers the Canadian Electrical Code requirements for the installation, alteration, repair or maintenance of Class 2 circuits limited to rated output of 100 volt amperes. This includes installation of 120 volt branch circuit wiring for the Class 2 power supplies. Course prepares students to write the Class Low Energy Systems (LO) certification exam from the Technical Safety BC (www.technicalsafetybc.ca).

This course is designed for students who are planning to write the Class C-R - Low Energy Field Safety Representative examination from Technical Safety BC (TSBC). For more exam information, please contact TSBC. Registration is processed on a first-come, first-served basis. This course DOES NOT carry a waitlist and late registration is not permitted. In the case of course cancellation, students will be notified. Please sent your inquiries to BCIT_Electrical@bcit.ca

Upon successful completion, the student will be able to:
- Know and find needed Sections, Rules and Tables in the code and other regulations so that students may write the Class Low Energy Systems (LO) certification exam. Exam eligibility requirement can be found at the BC Safety Authority website: http://safetyauthority.ca/licences-certificates/exams-certificates/electrical
A statement of completion certificate will be issued to students who successfully complete the course.
