Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Outline the necessary steps involved in the redevelopment of a brownfield site within the relevant political and public frameworks.
- Understand the unique features of selling/marketing brownfield redevelopment sites.
- Develop effective communication strategies to sell/market a brownfield redevelopment project to politicians and the community.
- Discuss the professional ethics related to brownfield redevelopment projects.
- Describe approvals from all three levels of government and their interrelationship.
- Discuss methods and approaches to minimize approval time for brownfield redevelopment projects.
- Describe appropriate public and meeting facilitation skills.
