Course Overview
This course will introduce students to the basics of bookkeeping, including the related terminology. Students will learn how to perform the daily tasks of recording bank deposits, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, all according to Canadian legal requirements. The month end, quarterly and year end activities will be discussed, and checklists will be introduced for all of these tasks. An introduction to QuickBooks will be included where students will learn how to set up a company and perform all of the above tasks as well as developing and interpreting balance sheets and income statements.

- Describe basic bookkeeping concepts and terminology.
- Perform basic bookkeeping functions.
