Course Overview
This course will prepare you to enter the field of collision estimating and focus on customer service and communication skills. Auto body methodology, insurance regulations, and estimating techniques will be covered as well as an introduction to Mitchell and other related collision estimating software. This is the first of a two-part program leading to a BCIT Microcredential and Statement of Completion in Automotive Collision Estimating.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Identify different vehicle designs
- Identify various materials and components used in vehicles construction
- Identify collision related damage
- Identify repair process on structural and non-structural vehicle components
- Diagnose collision damage using measuring equipment
