Course Overview
The 4 hour workshop focuses on clinical education for practicing forensic nurse examiners. The content includes clinical slides, videos and discussion on normal and abnormal assessment of the sexually assaulted person. The material will include injury and disease processes as well as selected clinically pertinent topics such as recognition of sexually transmitted infections, injuries to female and male genitalia and review of trauma related injuries.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Discuss normal versus abnormal clinical findings in the examination of a sexually assaulted person.
- Identify clinical disease processes in relation to sexually transmitted infections.
