Course Overview
This course introduces the ASTTBC Code of Ethics & Practice Guidelines and will familiarize the student with the principles of professional conduct in the field of applied science technology. The course consists of mandatory seminars accompanied by on-line review and testing. This course is a requirement for graduation.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion, the student will be able to:
- Provide evidence of familiarity with the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of BC Code of Ethics & Practice Guidelines by demonstrating an understanding of:
- The relationship between professionalism and the need to hold paramount the safety of the public.
- Situations in which conflicts of interest may arise.
- The ethical duties towards one's fellow members.
- The ethical duties toward clients and employers and the limits thereof.
- The ethical duty to keep abreast of new developments in one's field.
