Course Overview
This 50 hour course introduces students to the material covered in the Electrical Apprenticeship Level 3 program. Course topics include basic mathematical concepts, physics, use of scientific calculator functions that pertain to the program, detailed circuit analysis of various types of three-phase alternating-current electrical systems and three-phase transformer circuits.

- Calculate voltage, current, impedance, power and power factor in three-phase AC circuits.
- Apply power factor correction to three-phase AC circuits.
- Describe the principles of three-phase electrical transformers.
- Analyze three-phase electrical transformer circuits.
- Describe the operating principles of DC machines.
- Analyze DC machine circuits.
- Describe the operating principles of AC machines.
- Analyze AC machine circuits.
