Course details
This course will give those working in the railway industry greater awareness for safety leading to the prevention of incidents and accidents as well as encourage commercially efficient railway operations. Applying Crew Resource Management (CRM) knowledge, skills and attitudes within any Railway job will improve the working environment, the individual, and any crew or team they are a part of.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion, the student will be able to:
- Name the critical components of a safety system
- Identify key CRM factors from the aviation model
- Describe the types of crew error
- List the critical CRM behaviours
- Give examples of assertive communication in conflict situations
- Describe relevant human factors in maintaining situational awareness
- Discuss railway accidents and CRM factors compromised
