Course Overview
Communication requires several skills. Effective communication requires individuals to skillfully navigate the application of those skills considering the topic, environmental factors and outcome requirements. Honing communication skills is paramount to enable individuals to learn and continue working together productively. Participants will learn and practice a wide variety of skills that drive effective interpersonal communication.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Differentiate between hearing and listening.
- Explain strategies to improve verbal communication skills such as asking questions and communicating with impact.
- Analyze the role of non-verbal communication in enhancing interpersonal relationships.
- Apply non-verbal communication techniques for effective conversation initiation and progression.
- Create powerful introductions, including methods for remembering names, and managing situations when names are forgotten.
- Evaluate approaches for influencing others by building bridges, using facts and emotions, and sharing opinions constructively.
- Design and implement strategies for successful negotiations, including preparation, opening, bargaining, and closing, while making impactful first impressions.
