Course Overview

Basic Mechanical – WEXXAR course is designed for entry level Wexxar employees. The training utilizes tools, materials and concepts directly related to the employees' on the job tasks. Students will complete classroom sessions and then utilize the knowledge gained in the shop environment to complete pre-set practical projects.

Learning Outcomes

Upon Successful completion of this course the student will be able to:

Select and use hand, power and measuring tools by application
Describe metal properties and select metals
Identify and apply fasteners by application
Describe bearing loads
Identify and select bearings by application
Describe lubricants
Identify and select lubricants by application
Use plans and sketches
Identify and install belts drives
Describe pneumatic components
Design and assemble basic pneumatic circuits
