Course Overview
Provides those who operate, test and inspect these systems with an understanding of components and their operation; procedures for completing commissioning tests; weekly, monthly, yearly and other tests required. Testing of water supplies; interpreting test results, recommending changes for code compliance.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will have a basic, working understanding of:
- The principle components, basic standards of design and installation and fire control and fire suppression effectiveness of wet, dry, pre-action and deluge automatic sprinkler systems, and standpipe and hose systems installed in commercial and industrial premises.
- The testing of water supplies.
- The testing and inspection of wet, dry, pre-action and deluge automatic sprinkler systems and standpipe and hose systems - identify and describe applicable inspection and test procedures.
