At the end of this course, the learner will be able to:

- Fabricate rigid tube lines and fittings.
- Describe fluid line fittings.
- Inspect and repair fluid lines and fittings.
- Describe flexible hose fluid lines and fittings.
- Fabricate flexible hose fittings.
- Install, inspect, and test flexible hose lines.
- Discuss hydraulic seals.
- Discuss hydraulic fluid properties.
- Identify types of hydraulic fluid.
- Install seals and test components.
- Explain the behaviour of fluids.
- Explain work, power, and mechanical advantage in hydraulic systems.
- Explain system operation.
- Explain independent, dependent, and auxiliary systems.
- Explain system design.
- Explain operation of emergency backup systems.
- Hydraulic maintenance and servicing.
- Test, troubleshoot, repair, adjust, remove and replace hydraulic systems.
