Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

• Distinguish between major types of AI systems by how they work and how transparent their reasoning is, including the difference between approaches, and analyze where each tends to fail and which suits a given business context
• Engage AI tools effectively to produce relevant, appropriate outputs in professional contexts, and critically evaluate those outputs for errors, bias, and limitations within a continuous improvement cycle
• Assess the ethical implications of organizational AI adoption, including bias, privacy, accountability, and workforce impact, and define professional integrity by identifying behaviours that constitute misuse in a workplace context
• Assess data governance considerations and apply a governance framework to evaluate an organization's AI policies for decision rights, risk controls, gaps, and alignment with regulatory and ethical requirements
• Apply responsible AI use principles to complex workplace scenarios, identifying where AI use is appropriate and where human judgment must remain essential
• Develop and communicate a recommendation on an organizational AI governance and adoption decision, addressing capability, risk, governance, and stakeholder concerns
