Course Overview
In this course, students will explore onboard High Voltage (HV) applications with a strong emphasis on safety and lockout tag out procedures. Students will identify HV hazards and do a risk assessment before working on these circuits. Students will also develop electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills, and learn how to restore electrical and electronic control equipment to operating condition. The course will conclude with a look at electrical survey requirements for various types of ships.
