The Simple Economics of Artificial Intelligence

You are invited to join the Centre of Excellence in Analytics on June 9, 2021 for an Analytics Meetup from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Summary: Artificial Intelligence does the seemingly impossible, magically bringing machines to life – driving cars, trading stocks, and teaching children. But facing the sea change that AI will bring can be paralyzing. How should organizations set strategies, governments design policies, and people plan their lives for a world so different from what we know? This lecture recasts the rise of AI as a drop in the cost of prediction. This framing lifts the curtain on the AI-is-magic hype and show how basic tools from economics provide clarity about the AI revolution.

The Analytics Meetup is designed to provide BCIT faculty, and business executive with current trends, strategic insights, and best practices trending in analytics, big data, machine learning, AI, and building teaching capacity and talent.

This will be an immersive and interactive virtual event. Don’t miss this opportunity to network with your peers in this interactive environment and gain a competitive edge!
