Graduate employment rates
We’re proud to consistently provide our students with real-world skills and practical experience—so they’re work-ready from the day they graduate.
The median hourly wage is $32 for apprenticeship completers and $22 for graduates of certificate and diploma programs, and the median annual salary is $65,000 for graduates of degree programs.
BCIT provides the majority of apprenticeship training in the province of British Columbia. Over 1,200 complete their final apprenticeship level each year.

Applied research
BCIT Applied Research collaborates with national and international institutions, organizations, and industrial partners – providing innovative solutions to real-world problems.
The Centre for Applied Research and Innovation is dedicated to applied high tech research and development, including 3 dedicated research groups, 25 research labs, more than 50 collaborative projects with industry groups and more than 1,000 applied research projects.

International students
- Approximately 5,700 international students from close to 120 countries attended BCIT in 2018–19.
- BCIT has been delivering its international diploma programs through more than 20 overseas partner institutions in South Korea, China, Brazil, Chile, and Vietnam to approximately 6,000 students in the past decade.
- Agreements with more than 180 organizations worldwide for student and faculty mobility and industry training initiatives.
