Course Overview
This course will prepare students who have already completed XZEB 1001, XZEB 1120 or XZEB 1121, XZEB 1129, and XZEB 1171 with the outstanding body of knowledge required to earn additional designation as a Certified Passive House Tradesperson – Site Supervisor. Learners will apply prior knowledge to site supervision and construction management activities on Passive House construction projects. Upon successful course completion, students will earn additional designation as a Certified Passive House Tradesperson - Site Supervisor, registered with the Passive House Institute.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Explain the importance of airtightness, thermal bridge mitigation, and quality assurance in ensuring Passive House compliance during construction phases.
- Demonstrate the ability to inspect and assess on-site conditions to ensure proper installation of Passive House-certified windows, doors, and insulation materials.
- Evaluate common deficiencies in construction practices, such as improper insulation of HRV ducting, and propose corrective measures to maintain Passive House standards.
- Compare the effectiveness of site supervision strategies, such as the use of mock-ups or coordination meetings, in maintaining quality and compliance with Passive House principles.
- Describe how to develop a comprehensive construction management plan that integrates quality assurance, coordination of trades, and proper documentation to achieve Passive House certification.
