Course Overview
Students will study a research topic in an application area, under the supervision of a BCIT faculty member. This faculty member may be from the Computing Department, or they may be from an external department. The student will undertake a literature review of relevant research related to a particular topic, under the instructor's supervision. The student will then complete individual assignments demonstrating mastery of this topic.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Critically analyse current scholarly literature in a specific domain of application.
- Explain how applied computing can solve problems in the application area.
- Apply the skills of critical thinking, decision making, and problem solving.
- Demonstrate an ability to work independently and meet deadlines for individual work.
