Program Information:
Geomatics is the science and technology of gathering, analyzing, and interpreting geographic information. Professionals in this field use advanced tools such as GPS, GIS, remote sensing, and mapping technologies to support industries like construction, environmental management, transportation, and resource development. Geomatics plays a vital role in planning sustainable communities and managing natural resources.
Geomatics – Diploma:
The Diploma in Geomatics provides a strong foundation in surveying, mapping, and spatial data analysis. Graduates can enter the workforce as technologists or continue their studies toward a degree.
Geomatics – Bachelor of Science:
The BCIT Bachelor of Science in Geomatics builds on the diploma program and prepares students for advanced roles in geospatial analysis, project management, and emerging technologies. Graduates are equipped for careers in government, private industry, and research.
