Fish, Wildlife, and Recreation Diploma Program Online Info Session

November 12 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm MST

Join us virtually on Thursday, November 12 from 6:00 to 7:30pm for an online Info Session and learn more about the FWR program.  Faculty and students will be available during the session to answer questions and share experiences and details about the program and courses.

Turn your passion for the natural world and conservation into a career.

The FWR program provides students with relevant and practical hands-on learning through field labs, classroom and online learning experiences. Learning outcomes are aligned with current needs of government, the conservation and stewardship community and private industry.

Why Choose FWR? The FWR program has undergone significant updates in the last few years to incorporate new technology, skills and knowledge to ensure it aligns with industry expectations for the knowledge and field skills graduates need to be successful in this field.

The updated FWR program has been accredited by the College of Applied Biologists for the Registered Biology Technologist (RBTech) designation and there are several pathways students can take following graduation from FWR to obtain further education that allows them to pursue a Registered Professional Biologist (RPBio) designation. We have multiple transfer agreements in place with other institutions across the country who recognize the value of FWR graduates and are excited to offer further education opportunities. To learn more about professional designations available to graduates of the program, visit the program’s Professional Accreditation page.

Our graduates have an excellent reputation and pursue a broad range of work and career opportunities with private consulting firms, municipal, regional, provincial and federal government departments and agencies, non-government agencies and First Nation communities.
