D3 / FSWD 2024 Annual Student Design & Technology Showcase

BCIT Digital Design and Development and Full Stack Web Development will be hosting the annual student project showcase on December 6^th, 2024. The theme is centered around leveraging the power of Artificial Intelligence’s (AI) pattern recognition capabilities to create Web and Mobile Digital Solutions for under-represented or disadvantaged communities, societies, and businesses. In a world where technological advancements are not equally distributed, this initiative aims to bridge the gaps and obstacles these organizations face.

By researching the unique challenges these groups face, particularly in relation to mundane and tedious tasks, and utilizing AI’s pattern detection and generative intelligence from language models, we can theorize innovative solutions to streamline everyday workflows and processes to reduce 70+% of mundane work. Not only will this positively disrupt modern business operations, but the approach of significantly reducing the burden of repetitive tasks will empower the organizations’ ability to:

• focus on more impactful activities
• fostering greater inclusivity and efficiency in their daily operations
• reduce burnout
• improving workers’ quality of life
