Pink Shirt Day
Wednesday, February 25, 2026
6:00 am – 8:00 pm (PST)
Pink Shirt Day is an international anti-bullying campaign that began in Canada in 2007, when a group of high school students organized a protest to wear pink in support of a Grade 9 boy who was bullied for wearing pink. Observed on the last Wednesday of every February, the day encourages people to wear pink as a symbol of their commitment to creating safe, welcoming environments where bullying is not tolerated and everyone is treated with kindness and respect.
On February 25, 2026, BCIT encourages all community members to show their solidarity by wearing pink and participating in one or more of the activities below.
